Harold made three pairs in the winter of 1978. He has never put them on the floor.

Dolores said they were ready in 1979. Harold said Dolores was correct about many things, but not about this. When pressed, Harold said only that a pant of this nature could not be rushed, and that he would know when the time was right.

It has been forty-six years. Harold has not said anything further. Gary once asked. That was 1983. Gary does not ask anymore.
